In 2014, we were blessed to have been able to hold four conferences or training seminars in Haiti. The theme of these conferences was "The Imperative of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, According Matthew 24:16-10." These seminars were geared toward helping pastors, seminarians, deacons, elders, and others. Nearly 500 church leaders attended.
Why this theme? We feel that the Christian church needs to be refocused toward its primary mission which is the proclamation of the gospel in order to reach the lost and make disciples for Christ. Unfortunately and too often, Jesus' last command is ignored. Consequently, many churches are so busy and embroiled in activities, programs, and agendas that have little to do with the gospel and Jesus' last command. Our goal is to promote the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and to remind church leaders of the necessity to make it once again the primary focus of their churches.
